A refined women’s shooting waistcoat, crafted by Chrysalis in Corby, England, in traditional green loden. The rich Deep Moss colour gives the Dartmoor a beautifully understated character, complemented by tonal green Alcantara shooting patches across the shoulders.
The use of loden gives this version of the Dartmoor a distinctly different expression from the traditional country tweeds more commonly associated with English shooting wear. Softly textured and quietly elegant, the deep green cloth creates a clean, almost monochromatic look, with the tonal Alcantara adding subtle definition rather than contrast.

Selected from Chrysalis’ private collection of sample pieces in England, this waistcoat is available in strictly limited numbers. The sizes shown are the only pieces available – once sold, they cannot be restocked.
Designed as a proper shooting vest, the Dartmoor combines traditional field functionality with a particularly elegant women’s silhouette. Tonal Alcantara shooting patches protect the shoulder area, while generous bellows pockets provide practical storage without adding unnecessary bulk. Side vents give additional ease of movement, and traditional horn buttons complete the understated country aesthetic.
Inside, a smooth viscose lining allows the waistcoat to move easily over shirts and knitwear, reducing friction between layers and helping maintain freedom of movement.
At the back, the adjustable waist strap plays an important role in the fit. It can be loosened to accommodate heavier knitwear or drawn in when worn over lighter layers, allowing the waistcoat to maintain a neat, flattering silhouette throughout the season. It is a particularly useful feature in a shooting vest, where the layers worn underneath can change considerably with the weather.

The Dartmoor is designed to accommodate practical layering while retaining a feminine silhouette. The adjustable back waist strap allows the fit to be adapted according to the layers worn underneath – loosen it over heavier knitwear or draw it in over lighter layers for a closer, more defined fit.
