Chrysalis Ladies’ Juliet Tweed Field Coat – Burnished Bracken

A beautifully tailored women’s field coat, crafted in England by Chrysalis from 100% British wool tweed. The warm Burnished Bracken herringbone brings together softly blended shades of tobacco, camel and earthy brown, complemented by rich cognac-toned contrast detailing across the shoulders, collar and pockets.

The result is a particularly elegant interpretation of the traditional English field coat – unmistakably designed for the country, but with a beautifully feminine and considered silhouette.

A LIMITED HUNTWAY FIND
Selected from Chrysalis’ private collection of sample pieces in England, this waistcoat is available in strictly limited numbers. The sizes shown are the only pieces available – once sold, they cannot be restocked.

Beneath the traditional wool tweed, a waterproof and breathable membrane provides protection from changing weather while allowing the natural character of the cloth to remain the focus. A full 100% viscose lining creates a smooth interior, making the coat comfortable to layer over shirts, knitwear and other country clothing.

The Juliet is thoughtfully designed for days in the field. Two generous front cartridge pockets provide practical storage, while separate handwarmer pockets positioned higher on the coat allow cold hands to be tucked away without disturbing the contents below. Knitted inner storm cuffs help retain warmth and provide additional protection against cold air.

A concealed two-way zip sits beneath the traditional buttoned front, combining weather protection with a clean, tailored appearance. The high stand collar can be raised when conditions change, while the warm cognac-toned contrast beneath the collar adds another subtle detail when worn open.

Across the shoulders, the contrasting reinforcement creates one of the Juliet’s most distinctive features, continuing across the upper back to form a beautifully defined yoke. Matching contrast piping at the handwarmer pockets and further detailing throughout the coat tie the design together.

At the back, a button-adjustable waist tab allows the silhouette to be adapted to both the wearer and the layers underneath. It can be loosened when the coat is worn over heavier knitwear or drawn in for a more defined waist with lighter layers – an especially useful detail in a field coat intended to be worn throughout the changing seasons.

Two internal pockets with secure Velcro fastening provide additional storage for smaller essentials.
