Gössl Double Eagle Knit Pullover Brass

A pullover in pure, smooth-knit merino wool with the Habsburg double eagle knitted into the front. A contrast-coloured knitted piping runs along the side and down the sleeve. Wonderfully soft and warm.

Merino wool

The wool of the merino sheep is a special kind of virgin wool. Its fibres are exceptionally fine and pliable, which makes the knit soft against the skin — it doesn't scratch, yet it keeps you properly warm. Merino also breathes well and regulates temperature, so merino pieces earn their place all year round.

The Habsburg double eagle

As king of the skies, the eagle has stood for grandeur and strength across many cultures and has long served as a figure of identity. The rulers of the Holy Roman Empire showed it with two heads, representing king and emperor alike. The Habsburgs took their heraldic animal from that long tradition and made it the widely recognised emblem of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy.
