Introduced iby Filson some fifty years ago, our original Jac-Shirt has served more outdoorsmen in a wider range of conditions than we could begin to count. This limited-edition take on that icon is built with Filson's thickest, warmest Mackinaw Wool for unfailing warmth and protection in colder weather. FIlson 100% virgin Mackinaw Wool features a unique and complex fiber structure that wicks moisture to the top of each fiber for evaporation. This natural wicking process has yet to be duplicated by any fabric developed in laboratories, and is the main reason wool has been the fabric of choice for protection in foul weather for centuries. In fact, the Mackinaw Wool Jac-Shirt can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water without feeling damp or clammy. Built in Filson's Seattle factory, they’ve fused the Mackinaw Wool that’s sheltered woodsmen and foresters from cold, rainy weather in the forests of the Pacific Northwest for over a century with the easy-wearing versatile utility of a heavy shirt.
