A beautifully understated women’s field coat, crafted in England by Chrysalis in a richly textured herringbone tweed. The Heather Moss cloth combines softly mottled shades of moss, taupe and warm earthy brown, scattered with subtle natural flecks that give the tweed depth and character. Dark green Alcantara inside the collar provides a refined tonal contrast and beautifully picks up the muted green notes within the cloth.

The women’s Chiltern brings together the traditional character of an English country coat with the practical construction expected of a true field garment. A waterproof and breathable membrane sits discreetly beneath the tweed, adding protection from changing weather without compromising the natural look and feel of the wool exterior.
Inside, the construction has been carefully considered for warmth, comfort and ease of movement. The body is lined in deep green felt, while the sleeves feature a smooth quilted viscose lining for additional warmth. The viscose allows layers to glide easily beneath the coat, reducing friction through the sleeves and making it particularly comfortable to wear over knitwear while maintaining freedom of movement.
The raglan construction allows comfortable movement through the shoulders and makes the coat particularly well suited to layering. Two large bellows field pockets provide generous storage, while separate handwarmer pockets positioned above allow cold hands to be tucked away without disturbing the contents of the lower pockets.
A substantial front zip is protected by a full storm placket with traditional brass press studs. The high protective collar can be worn open or raised against the weather, revealing the dark green Alcantara inner collar – a particularly beautiful detail that complements the Heather Moss tweed.
Traditional in its origins yet remarkably easy to wear, the Ladies’ Chiltern has the character of a proper English field coat while retaining an elegant, understated silhouette. The combination of softly coloured herringbone tweed, deep green interior and practical weather protection makes this an exceptional Chrysalis piece for both the field and the wider country wardrobe.
