Chrysalis Lyndhurst Tweed Field Coat – Highland Gold Houndstooth

A distinctive English field coat, crafted in England by Chrysalis in a beautifully rich wool tweed. The classic houndstooth pattern – one of the most recognisable designs in traditional British tailoring – is woven in warm golden-brown and muted olive, with subtle burgundy accents running through the cloth. A deep burgundy contrast beneath the stand collar adds an unexpected detail and brings out the warmer tones of the tweed.

The Lyndhurst combines the character of traditional British country clothing with the protection required for long days outdoors. A waterproof and breathable membrane sits discreetly beneath the wool tweed, preserving the natural look and feel of the outer while adding protection when the weather changes.

Cut in Chrysalis’ generous sporting fit, the coat is designed to be worn comfortably over knitwear and other layers. The smooth viscose lining makes layering easy, while inner knitted storm cuffs help keep warmth in and cold air out.

Two large bellows cartridge pockets provide generous storage, complemented by two Napoleon pockets positioned higher on the coat and a zipped internal security pocket. At the back, an adjustable half belt adds structure to the silhouette. A substantial two-way brass zip and protective stand collar complete a coat where traditional English tailoring and practical fieldwear meet.

The result is a particularly handsome tweed field coat – functional enough for days in the field, yet with a houndstooth cloth and detailing that make it equally at home as part of a refined country wardrobe.
